Group "Kaipa" ( Kaipa ) was established in autumn 1973 by three musicians from the city of Uppsala (Uppsala) - keyboardist Hans Lundin (Hans Lundin), bassist Tomas Eriksson (Tomas Eriksson) and drummer Thomas Sjöberg (Thomas Sjöberg) called Ura Kaipa . Then they played a mixture of Swedish folk music, classics, pop 60's and progressive ELP and Yes ... But as the keyboardist in the group easily scored all (especially in the absence of a guitarist, but this is the case), then still a "lighthouse" taken course for ELP. Bassist Eriksson played Rickenbacker - in Sweden, it was then a rarity ... Sung in the native. In 1974 he became known simply Kaipa. Simple, but not just ... The group arrived (descended) Roine Shtolt (Roine Stolt) (ex-Spectrum, ex-Orexis), also from Uppsala - guitarist / vocalist. Simply said - the main figure of the Swedish rock music of all time ... Three-headed serpent Hydra-headed David Gilmour, Steve Howe and Frank Zappa, singing as John Roy Anderson ... Then he was 17 years old. And on this album, released on the Electra, it is still far from the main ... Main here - Lundin, who essentially did not teach English, but he liked Deep Purple and Uriah Heep (just like Russian music lovers) ... To be continued.
