Jackie McAuley ( Jackie McAuley ) - Irish singer and multi-instrumentalist. Following his older brother Patrick McAuley joined the Belfast group Them (artistic director - Van Morrison) as an organist (his brother moved behind a drum kit). Then the brothers brewed fur fly, "resulting in the Them was some groups ... Them theirs then called Other Them , then - The Belfast Gypsies , but it soon collapsed, releasing an LP ... Jackie McAuley created the Folk a duet with Judy Dyble ( Judith Aileen Dyble ), the first female vocalist Fairport Convention . Duo called Trader Horne , released one LP in 1970 - Morning Way , and then collapsed, as Judy has decided to withdraw from Music and get married. And only then Jackie has released this solo album, titled modestly Jackie McAuley . Helped him in this event young jazz musicians - Mike McNaught, Tony Roberts and Mike Travis (all from Henry Lowther Band), and more experienced - he Henry Lowther, bassist Roy Babington (ex-Delivery). All of them were related to the Canterbury School. After the release of the album (in my opinion, simply wonderful) Jackie worked as a session musician with The Heptones, Jim Capaldi, Rick Wakeman, Rebop and others. Active so far.
